Our Journey

System Integrator

Recognising the growing demand for end-to-end energy solutions, Superduper Energy has evolved into a systems integrator, delivering fully integrated and scalable clean energy platforms. Our capabilities encompass the design, engineering, and integration of electrolysers, fuel cells, battery energy storage systems, hydrogen storage, and advanced energy management systems into unified, reliable architectures. Through this integration expertise, we develop complete hydrogen-based microgrids and off-grid energy systems that enable green hydrogen production, eliminate reliance on diesel generators, and support rural and remote electrification. To ensure long-term performance and operational excellence, we also provide system-level digital twins, remote diagnostics, and operational analytics, enabling continuous optimisation, predictive maintenance, and enhanced lifecycle efficiency.

Commercialization and Global Positioning

Following the successful implementation of our Hybrid Energy Storage System (HESS) at a UNESCO World Heritage Site — the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Superduper Energy’s technology and system integration capabilities reached commercial maturity, enabling our transition from pilot projects to full-scale commercial deployment. Building on this milestone, we rapidly expanded our presence across the Asia region, delivering hydrogen demonstration and deployment projects in diverse operating environments. Through these engagements, we established a strong reputation for agility, rapid deployment, and technical excellence, providing scalable and cost-effective clean energy solutions tailored to varying energy needs and site conditions.

Strategic Positioning

As the clean technology sector became increasingly crowded with component manufacturers, Superduper Energy differentiated itself through full system integration and disciplined execution. Early on, our team recognised that system reliability, lifecycle cost, and real-world performance — not individual components — would ultimately define project success. In response, we adopted a strategy of in-house assembly and vertical integration, enabling tighter quality control, shorter turnaround times, and enhanced cost competitiveness. This lean and execution-focused operating model allows us to deliver solutions faster and more efficiently than traditional, fragmented integration approaches, positioning Superduper Energy ahead of slower and higher-cost competitors.

PROJECT ENERSHIFT

An effective Hybrid Energy Storage System (HESS) to shift the use of renewable energy to meet the demand period for Holttum Hall Building at Singapore Botanical Gardens

BACKGROUND

Project EnerShift is aimed to achieve Net ZERO Carbon Emissions through integrating green hydrogen energy solution along with energy efficiency, battery storage and solar photovoltaic to shift away from the use of fossil fuels to meet energy demand. The successful implementation of this mini scale green hydrogen project at the Holttum Hall is aligned with Singapore’s 2030 Green Plan and 2050 Net Zero strategies as well as testament to the application of such technologies in broader scale to accelerate energy transition in green economy. In addition, it will also act as an educational tool to raise awareness about hydrogen technology to publics as well as learning experience for students/academic community.

Scope Delivered

The Holttum Hall is a 100% self-sustaining 24-hour through hybrid energy system such as Solar PV, Battery Storage, Hydrogen Storage and Fuel Cell. The first of its kind, the Holttum Hall is the materialization of a dream to achieve cleaner and more sustainable energy systems. The most up-to-date sustainable technologies from around the world effectively power this heritage building. The energy system is designed to store solar power in the most effective and ecological way. The hybrid hydrogen-battery system maximizes the advantages of both the hydrogen storage system and the batteries. In simple terms, the energy of the sun is transformed via solar panels into electricity. Any excess power is converted and stored as hydrogen. During off-peak operation, the stored hydrogen gas in tanks generate electricity by using fuel cells to power the facility where smooth start is achieved through batteries to always ensure continuous off-grid power supply.

Like any other facility, we have had initial challenges such as high energy use, lack of space for roof top solar, etc to realize the intended outcomes. Both Superduper Energy and Singapore Botanic Gardens team have worked together to implement an end-to-end solution as detailed below.

Stage 1. Energy Efficiency Improvement

To overcome the annual high energy use, an energy audit was conducted to establish baseline and identification of energy efficiency measures. Subsequently Singapore Botanic Gardens team had implemented the energy efficiency measures that has resulted in more than 50% of energy savings per annum. This has helped to overcome the limitations around Solar PV peak capacity deployment to meet the net zero goals.

Stage 2. EnerShift Project - Solar PV with HESS (Hybrid Energy Storage System)

Superduper Energy has deployed the hybrid energy storage solution that encompasess design, development, on-site construction, system integration, testing and commissioning. The HESS has an onsite hydrogen generation and shall comprise of PV inverter charger, battery, electrolyser to convert water to hydrogen, water tank for the electrolyser, gas tank, fuel cell, DC- AC inverters and a hybrid micro-controller. HESS’ microcontroller shall also have the capability to be remotely monitored and controlled via a mobile application. The HESS has bean break into pods and deployed in an outdoor environment on the ground level next to a two-storey building and solar energy is harvested on a roof top space adjacent to this building.

Impact of Project EnerShift Project

EnerShift has delivered greater than 50% energy reduction through improving building system efficiency and realized net zero carbon through integrating Solar PV, Hydrogen Energy Solution along with battery storage to cater for the day and night load of the facility operation. This will result in annual carbon savings of 82,369 kg CO2. This project has deployed technologies such as hydrogen electrolyser, fuel cell, hydrogen storage system, solar photovoltaic, battery storage and integrated through an energy management system. It contributes to various UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) such as SDG 13 Climate Action, SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals.
